Cordoban Leather
This craft work-shop is a family firm, exclusively dedicated to the hand-worked production of the tradicional "Cordoban leathers", cordobanes and guadameciles, which made the city of Córdoba famous thoughout the world.
The word MERYAN , combination of the founders´names MERcedes Y ANgel , now enjoys international fame, well-known in many countries due to its diffusion by word of mouth through customers from the very beginning, and also by illustrated articles in the press, interest. Among these we can high-light a full-page spread dedicated to MERYAN in the "New York Times" of New York , U.S.A. and cultural reports shown by Spanish, French, Japanese, American, German television and others.
All this has gradually caused the MERYAN workshop to merit mention in the tourist guide books sold in various countries such as the U.S.A where apart from a general guide book there are others , among them one dedicated to the Jewish Community and another to the University of Harvard; France , Israel, Germany, Japan and possibly others.This is the fruit of the firm´s serious excellent work and attention to the customer during forty years.
